Privacy Policy
This page explains what Problematic collects, how it is used, and how to contact us about privacy or deletion requests.
Effective date
July 8, 2026. Problematic is currently offered as a beta (TestFlight) release, so features and data practices may change.
Who we are

- App activity and game data, including groups, invite codes, votes, comments and reactions, question feedback, chaos and related scores, streaks, leaderboards, weekly recaps, and share card data.
- Device and notification data, including a push notification token, platform, device name, and app version, if you choose to enable notifications.
- Diagnostic data, including crash and error reports, to keep the beta stable.
- Advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA) only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
How we use data
- To let you create an account, join groups, invite friends, vote on questions, and see game results.
- To calculate scores, streaks, leaderboards, recaps, and share cards inside the app.
- To send push notifications you have opted into.
- To display advertising that helps support the free beta.
- To improve questions, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and support users who contact us.
Services that may process data
Problematic uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, and Analytics), Google AdMob for advertising, Sentry for crash and error reporting, and Apple/Expo services for app distribution, TestFlight testing, and push notification delivery. These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy policies.
Advertising and data sales
Problematic uses Google AdMob to show ads. If you do not grant tracking permission, we request non-personalized ads. If you do grant permission, an advertising identifier may be used for personalized ads. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices and rights
- You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
- You can decline or revoke ad tracking permission in iOS Settings; you will still see non-personalized ads.
- California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
Children
Problematic contains mature, comedic content and is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
